General Manager – HVAC Service Operations

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and grow a high-performing HVAC service operation in North Florida. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the service division, including P&L ownership, operational leadership, business growth, and customer success.
You will lead a team of technicians, coordinators, and office staff while working closely with sales leadership to expand service agreements, drive revenue growth, and strengthen long-term client relationships.

What You'll Do
Business Leadership
- Own the full P&L for the service division, including revenue, margins, and profitability
- Drive business growth and market expansion across the North Florida region
- Lead operational strategy and performance improvement initiatives
- Represent the organization with key customers, vendors, and industry partners
Service Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the service and preventative maintenance business
- Optimize technician utilization, dispatching, and labor planning
- Ensure service agreements are delivered profitably and efficiently
- Monitor operational KPIs and financial performance
Customer & Sales Partnership
- Partner with the sales team to develop and close large service opportunities
- Lead service agreement renewal and retention strategies
- Address escalated client issues and maintain high customer satisfaction
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of technicians, service coordinators, and office staff
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top service talent
- Foster a strong safety culture and high-performance environment
Strategic Operations
- Oversee fleet management, service inventory, and equipment planning
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerant handling
- Support smooth handoffs between construction/project teams and service operations
What We're Looking For
- 5–7+ years of leadership experience in HVAC service, mechanical contracting, facilities services, or similar technical service industries
- Strong P&L management and operational leadership experience
- Proven success managing field technicians and service teams
- Experience growing service agreements and customer retention programs
- Strong understanding of dispatching, service operations, and labor planning
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems and operational reporting tools
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills
