Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Territory Sales Manager with a proven background in HVAC parts and equipment distribution to develop and aggressively grow our South Florida territory, covering Key West through Fort Lauderdale.
This role requires an experienced sales professional who has worked for a national HVAC supplier or distributor and has managed high-volume contractor accounts. The ideal candidate understands the pace, expectations, and performance standards of a large-scale HVAC distribution environment and is motivated to expand market share through disciplined territory execution and relationship-driven sales.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Development & Business Growth
- Establish, develop, and grow the assigned territory through structured sales planning and execution.
- Conduct daily field visits throughout Monroe, Miami-Dade, and Broward counties.
- Perform door-to-door business development targeting HVAC contractors, service companies, and mechanical firms.
- Identify, prospect, and open new contractor accounts.
- Increase market penetration and share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Travel between territories as business needs require.
High-Volume Account Management
- Manage and expand high-volume contractor and commercial accounts.
- Build strong relationships with business owners, service managers, purchasing teams, and technicians.
- Develop long-term account strategies focused on retention, growth, and profitability.
- Negotiate pricing and manage margins while remaining competitive in the market.
Product & Technical Sales
- Promote and sell HVAC parts and equipment, including compressors, motors, coils, controls, refrigeration components, and complete heating and cooling systems.
- Provide product knowledge, training, and technical support to customers.
- Stay current on product offerings, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
Travel Requirements
- Daily travel throughout the assigned territory is required.
- Regular in-person customer visits and job site meetings.
- Attendance at industry events, trade shows, and contractor functions as needed.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Performance Management
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Monitor territory performance and adjust strategies to maximize growth.
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of HVAC sales experience within a national HVAC supplier or distributor
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume contractor accounts.
- Proven ability to grow territory revenue and open new business.
- Experience in field-based, B2B, door-to-door sales.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC heating and cooling systems and replacement parts.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
Preferred
- Established contractor relationships within South Florida.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Technical HVAC training or certifications.
