Position: HVAC General Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ (85282)
Pay: $150k-$250k + Bonuses
Summary: Facilitate rapid growth in Phoenix market, overseeing people, sales, and operations.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in commercial HVAC
- 3-5+ years of experience in operations and strategic management
- P&L responsibility for $20+ million business
- Experience seeing a business through 20%+ growth
- Strong change management skills
Responsibilities:
- 30 people, 2 service teams consisting of manager, installers, BAS, Sales, dispatcher, and technicians
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and hold teams accountable while fostering a servant-leadership culture.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in leadership skills.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional collaboration between operations, sales, and corporate departments.
- Experience developing organizational structure and staffing plans to support growth and customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
- Ability to partner with HR to manage personnel actions including hiring, performance management, promotions, and compensation.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding annual sales, revenue, gross profit, and NOI targets.
- Experience driving sales performance and supporting sales teams in achieving bookings and maintenance base growth.
- Strong operational management skills, including preventative maintenance oversight, project execution quality, pricing strategy, and manpower planning.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational data, with the ability to quickly master company software systems.
- Ability to identify workflow inefficiencies, resolve issues promptly, and implement process improvements.
- Strong understanding of billing, collections support, and revenue recognition processes.
- Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Ability to support and reinforce internal safety training initiatives.
