About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our growing team in Phoenix. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong commercial HVAC experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
You will play a critical role in preparing accurate, competitive bids for commercial HVAC projects while collaborating closely with engineering, project management, and vendor partners.

What You’ll Do
- Review plans, specifications, and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates
- Perform takeoffs and analyze labor, materials, and equipment pricing
- Develop accurate and competitive bid proposals
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, vendors, and subcontractors
- Conduct site visits to validate scope when needed
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain current pricing databases and labor factors
- Assist in contract negotiations and scope clarification
- Ensure smooth transition from estimating to project execution
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience estimating commercial HVAC projects
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and installation methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents independently
- Experience with estimating software (BidTracer, QuickPen, FastDUCT, or similar)
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
HVAC certifications or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
