Overview
The Services Business Unit Manager will provide leadership and direction for day-to-day execution of work of the assigned business unit including overseeing operations, sales and accounting. Specific responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the daily operations of the commercial HVAC business unit, overseeing operations, sales, and financial performance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize business objectives and ensure profitability.
- Manage and mentor the service team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with corporate operations to share best practices and allocate resources effectively.
- Handle hiring, disciplinary actions, and personnel development to maintain a high-performing team.
- Achieve and exceed growth and financial goals, including monitoring KPIs such as safety, sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and uphold the highest standards of business ethics.
- Monitor project quality, ensure adherence to corporate standards, and implement productivity improvements.
- Evaluate local performance and implement strategies for service excellence and operational efficiency.
Requirements- Extensive leadership experience, preferably over 10 years managing large maintenance organizations within the HVAC or related industries.
- Strong mechanical and technical background with hands-on support knowledge of hydraulic systems, refrigeration, pumps, diesel generators, and utility systems.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and develop reliable financial projections.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; PMP certification and EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.
