About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance of the Arizona division, including profit and loss management, business development, operational leadership, and personnel development. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of the division while strengthening relationships with clients, trade partners, and key industry stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Division Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all Arizona operations.
- Develop and execute growth plans that align with company objectives.
- Establish and maintain a culture of safety, accountability, excellence, and teamwork.
- Lead the division in achieving operational and financial performance goals.
- Financial Management
- Assume full responsibility for divisional P&L performance.
- Develop annual operating budgets and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor project profitability, cash flow, overhead expenses, and financial performance metrics.
- Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Business Development
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities across commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, and advanced technology sectors.
- Build and maintain relationships with owners, developers, engineers, architects, and general contractors.
- Lead major pursuits, negotiations, and client presentations.
- Expand the company's market presence and reputation throughout Arizona and the Southwest.
- Talent Development & Mentorship
- Recruit, develop, and retain top industry talent.
- Mentor project executives, project managers, operations leaders, and emerging professionals.
- Build leadership succession plans to support continued organizational growth.
- Foster a culture focused on professional development, accountability, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within the mechanical construction industry.
- Proven success managing large-scale HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction operations.
- Demonstrated experience with divisional or regional P&L responsibility.
- Strong business development background with an established network of industry relationships.
- Experience leading high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
