Clayton Services is searching for an Industrial HVAC Service Sales Representative to join a growing organization supporting plant and refinery clients across the Houston Gulf Coast. The Industrial HVAC Service Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business, breaking into plant accounts, and building long-term service partnerships.
This is a true business development role. Candidates must be comfortable creating opportunities from scratch and building relationships within industrial facilities.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $90,000 – $150,000 base + uncapped commission (OTE $150K – $300K+)

Industrial HVAC Service Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across plant and refinery environments
- Break into new facilities and establish relationships with plant managers, maintenance leaders, and operations teams
- Sell preventative maintenance agreements, retrofit services, and long-term service contracts
- Navigate complex organizations to uncover contract owners, decision makers, and renewal timelines
- Conduct site visits to evaluate equipment and recommend service solutions
- Build and maintain a pipeline of long-cycle opportunities (contracts often 3+ years)
- Generate proposals, pricing, and presentations to win new business
- Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure accurate scope and execution
- Track activity, opportunities, and forecasts within CRM systems
Industrial HVAC Service Sales Representative Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability to generate net new business (hunter mentality required)
- Strong relationship-building skills within industrial or technical environments
- Ability to navigate complex organizations and long sales cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to exceed revenue targets
Industrial HVAC Service Sales Representative Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in HVAC, industrial services, or technical solutions
- Experience selling service agreements, maintenance contracts, or industrial solutions preferred
- Experience working with plant, refinery, or industrial clients strongly preferred
- Territory includes Houston, Pasadena, Baytown, Deer Park, La Porte, and Gulf Coast industrial markets
- Remote role – work from home and in the field with customers
- This is a pure hunter role – no existing accounts will be assigned
