We're looking for a skilled
HVAC Installer with experience installing and working with
chiller systems to support residential and light commercial HVAC projects in
Birmingham, Alabama. This role focuses on installing heating and cooling systems while maintaining high standards for safety, efficiency, and workmanship.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing HVAC equipment and understands airflow systems, refrigeration components, and mechanical installation practices. This position involves completing full system installations from equipment placement and ductwork setup to startup, testing, and commissioning.

Responsibilities
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, duct systems, and related HVAC equipment
- Assist with installation and setup of chiller systems and associated components
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications
- Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Ensure installations meet local building codes, manufacturer guidelines, and safety standards
- Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to maintain jobsite efficiency
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces while protecting customer property
- Identify installation issues in the field and implement effective solutions
- Provide customers with basic guidance on system operation and maintenance
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and jobsite records
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years of residential or light commercial HVAC installation experience
- Hands-on experience installing or assisting with chiller systems required
- Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, airflow principles, and installation practices
- Ability to interpret technical documents and electrical schematics
- EPA certification required (additional certifications are a plus)
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Strong attention to safety procedures and installation quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
