About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of the HVAC Service Group . This senior leadership role is responsible for managing and developing a team of 8–15 service technicians while driving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability across commercial and industrial service operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 8–15 HVAC service technicians; plan, assign, and direct daily work activities.
- Oversee day-to-day service operations, including dispatching and scheduling using field service management software.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets with full P&L responsibility, including gross and net profit performance.
- Review work orders for accuracy, verify pricing, and control labor and material costs to maintain target margins.
- Provide advanced HVAC troubleshooting support for complex service issues.
- Develop, execute, and manage commercial and industrial service contracts, including renewals.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships; manage issue escalation and complaint resolution.
- Oversee service billing processes and support accounts receivable follow-up.
- Manage inventory, parts control, and warranty processing.
- Recruit, hire, train, and conduct performance evaluations for service technicians.
- Promote employee development, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and field operational best practices.
- Oversee fleet, equipment, and job site operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Prepare reports and communicate operational performance to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of HVAC service experience in commercial and industrial environments.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing service technicians (8–15 direct reports preferred).
- Strong knowledge of service dispatching systems and field service software.
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L oversight.
- Advanced technical HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
- Proven experience managing service contracts and renewals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and reporting skills.
- Valid driver’s license required.
