PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Piping Estimator provides thorough estimates for HVAC construction projects. This position is responsible for estimating the labor, materials, and equipment required to complete the piping scope of the project. This information is shared with the HVAC estimators to be incorporated into the over project estimate.
POSITION DUTIES:
- On screen piping take-off
- Review drawings/specifications and provide comprehensive proposals for the scope of work
- Coordinates support activities
- Maintain relationships with all parties involved in projects
- Analyze, compare, and interpret detailed project information
- Make sound and accurate judgments based on project information to assist in the preparation of change orders in close coordination with project management
- Report to the Chief Estimator and/or operations for proposal reviews
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- QuickPen (Trimble) Experience
- Previous relevant field experience in trade is strongly preferred
- In-depth knowledge of a wide variety of HVAC equipment, materials, and methods of installation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as a part of the team
