Our client, a growing facilities services organization specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair services across commercial and healthcare environments, is seeking a General Manager to join their Cypress, TX team.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a transactional service-based business delivering HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repair services. The General Manager will be accountable for operational performance, financial results, and overall business growth, ensuring efficient service delivery, strong technician productivity, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience leading field service operations, with a strong understanding of service delivery models, technician management, and job-based revenue performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across administrative and field service teams, including dispatch, scheduling, and service execution
- Ensure efficient coordination between office administration and field technicians to optimize response times and service delivery
- Develop and implement operational processes to improve service efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction
- Drive performance across key service metrics including job completion rates, response times, and technician utilization
Financial & P&L Management
- Own full P&L responsibility for the operation, including revenue, cost control, and profitability
- Monitor job costing, service margins, and technician productivity to drive financial performance
- Analyze financial reports and operational KPIs to ensure revenue, profitability, and growth targets are achieved
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies
Service Operations Oversight
- Lead delivery of transactional repair and maintenance services across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service execution across all client sites
- Oversee service workflows including work order management, dispatch, and job completion processes
- Maintain operational standards and technical oversight of service delivery across all trades
Team Management & Development
- Recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams including operations staff, dispatch, and field technicians
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards across all role
- Monitor technician performance, productivity, and service quality

Client & Vendor Relations
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial and healthcare clients
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and service quality
- Oversee vendor and subcontractor relationships to support service delivery as needed
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, safety protocols, and applicable healthcare compliance requirements
- Maintain safe working environments across all service operations and job sites
- Oversee risk management, incident reporting, and continuous improvement in safety practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in service operations, field operations, or general management within a service-based business
- Proven experience managing HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical service operations
- Strong experience with P&L management, job costing, and operational performance metrics
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing both administrative teams and field technicians
- Strong understanding of service delivery models, dispatch, and technician workflow management
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
