RAW Resourcing is recruiting an experienced HVAC Engineer to join a leading maritime engineering organisation based in Houston.
This is an exciting opportunity for an HVAC design engineer to support the delivery of complex marine and offshore engineering projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, review and technical coordination of HVAC systems across a range of high-value maritime projects.
Responsibilities
🔱 Review project specifications, HVAC layouts, P&IDs, D&IDs and associated engineering documentation.
🔱 Perform HVAC engineering calculations including cooling and heating loads, duct sizing, pressure drop and noise analysis.
🔱 Review and approve detailed engineering deliverables including ducting layouts, piping isometrics, equipment foundations, machinery space arrangements and Bills of Materials.
🔱 Ensure engineering deliverables comply with contractual specifications, Classification Society requirements and applicable industry standards.
🔱 Coordinate with clients, Classification Societies, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams to obtain design approvals and resolve technical queries.
🔱 Provide specialist HVAC engineering support throughout the design and project execution phases.
🔱 Participate in technical meetings, engineering reviews and design coordination activities.
Requirements
⚓ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or HVAC Engineering.
⚓ 5+ years' HVAC engineering design experience within the maritime, offshore, shipbuilding or marine engineering sectors.
⚓ Strong understanding of HVAC engineering principles, international engineering standards and Classification Society requirements.
⚓ Previous experience working with shipyards, marine engineering contractors, HVAC contractors or HVAC equipment manufacturers.
⚓ Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.
⚓ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
⚓ Currently based in Houston or willing to relocate.
