- Sick leave accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (up to 40 hours annually)Position OverviewAs an HVAC Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians and installers to support both service and installation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in residential environments, including retrofit and new construction projects. You will gain hands-on experience assisting with system installs, basic diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while learning proper techniques, safety practices, and industry standards. This role is designed to build your foundational skills and prepare you for advancement into both service and installation career paths within the company.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of HVAC systems, including equipment setup, ductwork, and system components
- Support lead installers on residential replacement and new construction projects
- Learn how to read basic plans and follow installation instructions
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Handle tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Communicate with team members and follow directions from lead installers
- Participate in training and actively develop technical skillsQualifications
- Interest in building a career in HVAC
- Prior HVAC, maintenance, or hands-on field experience preferred but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- EPA certification is a plus but not required (the company can support obtaining it)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in various weather conditions
