This is a
full-time position supporting business development across the Tennessee region. The work schedule generally follows standard business hours, with flexibility as needed to meet project deadlines and provide timely support to contractors and partners.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR HVAC INSIDE SALES ENGINEER
In this HVAC Inside Sales Engineer role, you will collaborate with customers to develop and support commercial project opportunities throughout the region. Your responsibilities will include assisting contractors and dealers with equipment selection, system application, and project development. You will prepare price estimates, write proposals, bid on jobs, and monitor project progress to ensure alignment with plans, blueprints, and mechanical specifications. Regularly, you will work with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, architects, and developers to promote and specify Habegger products.
You will support both design-build and plan/spec projects, generate accurate and competitive commercial quotes, and provide technical training and product support to contractors and internal teams. Additionally, you will identify new commercial opportunities and contribute to increasing market share through your efforts on projects such as light commercial rooftop replacements, multi-family developments, and spec build applications.
Here's What We Need From You
- 5+ years of HVAC sales, estimating, or commercial HVAC experience
- Experience reviewing blueprints, mechanical schedules, and project specifications
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, applications, and equipment selection
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Estimating or quoting experience preferred. A mechanical engineering or related technical degree is also a plus!
