Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on hyperscale data center projects. This individual will play a critical role in managing MEP coordination, driving schedule and quality, and ensuring successful project delivery in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role offering strong visibility and long-term growth within a contractor that continues to expand its mission-critical portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all MEP aspects of data center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls trades
- Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure scope alignment and execution
- Drive schedule, budget, and quality performance for MEP systems
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and constructability
- Coordinate system installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning activities
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 5–10+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on large construction projects
- Experience with data centers or mission-critical projects strongly preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, and building systems
- Proven ability to manage complex coordination across multiple trades
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
