What You'll Do
As an HVAC Apprentice, you are the backbone of our field operations. You will work alongside experienced technicians to ensure our customers stay comfortable year-round. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Diagnose issues within residential ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Keep systems running efficiently by cleaning air handling units, replacing filters, motors, and belts, and calibrating controls.
- Help repair or replace critical components like thermostats, compressors, condensers, and refrigerant lines.
- Clearly explain technical problems to homeowners, offering repair options and costs in easy-to-understand terms.
- Accurately track all services performed, manage warranties, and ensure all work meets safety standards and regulatory codes.
What You Bring
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in residential HVAC services.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. EPA Certification is a major plus!
- Excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a strong sense of accountability.
- You are coachable, eager to learn new technologies, and take pride in doing the job right the first time.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements and Work Location:
- Must be able to lift or carry heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds, including furnaces, ductwork, and equipment.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.
- Requires working in various residential environments (attics, crawl spaces, outdoors)
