Product Manager – Industrial Refrigeration & Engineered Systems
Overview
A global engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of industrial refrigeration and process cooling solutions. This role will drive product strategy, lifecycle management and commercial performance across international markets.
The successful candidate will sit at the intersection of engineering, sales, manufacturing and customers, ensuring products remain competitive, technically robust and aligned with market demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full product lifecycle from concept through to phase-out
- Define and execute product strategy aligned with market and business objectives
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Translate customer requirements into product specifications
- Work closely with engineering teams to support product development and optimisation
- Develop pricing strategies and support margin improvement initiatives
- Support sales teams with technical positioning, value propositions and training
- Lead product launches including internal and external communication
- Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage product roadmaps and portfolio rationalisation
Experience Required
- Proven experience in Product Management within industrial refrigeration, HVAC-R, compressor packages or engineered mechanical systems
- Strong understanding of industrial cooling systems, compressors or packaged plant solutions
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations and commercial teams
- Commercial acumen including pricing, margin management and forecasting
- Ability to interpret market data and translate insights into strategy
- Experience operating in international or multi-market environments
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline
- Product management training or certification advantageous
