Residential HVAC Estimator – Lake Mary, FL
Pay: $27-30/hr.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, onsite 5 days per week
Job Summary
This role analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare designs, costs, labor estimates and contracts for HVAC new construction projects. All work is residential, new construction and working with the builders on building out plans / costs for all the duct work, AC units, labor, etc.
Primary Responsibilities: Reviews new and existing blueprints, change orders, and associated project specifications, and past project data to compile accurate estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractor costs. Reviews project data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized take-off lists of duct, grilles, and associated equipment. Estimates labor costs by phase based on labor standards and estimates materials/equipment costs. Generates formal contracts with all inclusions and upgrades pertaining to the project. Uses pre-determined profit factors after all costs have been included. Draws HVAC design on blueprints and makes changes to same during “red-line” procedure. Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace. Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered. Previous experience in HVAC or estimating, preferred. Experience with position-specific programs such as Wrightsoft, Manual J & Energy Gauge is preferred, but not required. Self-motivated and detail orientated. Must be able to multitask, schedule and prioritize. Computer literate with expert knowledge in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint; working knowledge of all office equipment. Eligible to legally work in the United States. Be at least 18 years of age. Successfully complete a background check and drug screen. Ability to thrive in a team environment. ,
