New Generation Mechanical is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Plumbing/HVAC Service Estimator to support its growing service operations.

Position Summary:

This key role is responsible for evaluating Commercial Plumbing/HVAC service customer needs, developing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring clear, timely communication of project scopes, timelines, and pricing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction across all service projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate customer Plumbing/HVAC service requests and develop comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Work closely with service technicians, project managers, and vendors to gather pricing and scope details.
Prepare and present written proposals and quotes to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Update and maintain estimate templates, pricing databases, and documentation.
Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and ensure understanding of the proposed services.
Support scheduling and dispatching by providing Commercial Plumbing/HVAC job details and special requirements.
Follow up on pending estimates and collaborate with sales/service teams to close opportunities.
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Participate in job walk-throughs and site visits as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required;
2+ years of estimating experience in a Commercial Plumbing/HVAC service environment.
Strong understanding of job costing, pricing, and quoting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with estimating software a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or facilities maintenance services.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced service environment.
Knowledge of service dispatch systems or field service software.
