HVAC Estimator / Project Manager | Mechanical Contractor

Blayze Group is partnering with a growing mechanical contractor to appoint an HVAC Estimator / Project Manager to support commercial and light industrial projects, including high-rise developments across Downtown Houston.
The Role
- Estimate commercial HVAC projects from initial bid through contract award
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and mechanical plans
- Prepare takeoffs, labor and material pricing, budgets, and proposals
- Manage awarded projects from preconstruction through completion
- Coordinate equipment procurement, subcontractors, field teams, schedules, and project documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost control, and project reporting
- Work closely with clients, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal operations teams
- Support multiple commercial HVAC projects at different stages of delivery
Background Sought
- 3+ years of HVAC estimating, project management, or combined Estimator / PM experience
- Experience working for a mechanical or HVAC contractor
- Strong commercial HVAC project experience
- High-rise, office, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, or Downtown construction experience is beneficial
- Some industrial HVAC experience is advantageous
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical drawings, equipment, ductwork, piping, labor, and material costs
- Able to prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, budgets, and proposals
- Strong communication, organization, and client management skills
- Experience with HVAC estimating, project management, Bluebeam, or construction software is beneficial
