POSITION SUMMARY
The Commercial HVAC Apprentice will work alongside experienced Lead Technicians in the field, assisting with a variety of heating and cooling systems. This role provides hands-on training and mentorship while promoting safe, responsible, and professional service practices. Apprentices will receive structured training in equipment maintenance, system diagnostics, and customer service. They will actively participate in routine maintenance inspections under the supervision of a Team Lead and are expected to follow a professional development plan to support individual growth and skill advancement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with commercial HVAC installations alongside a Lead Installer
- Coordinate with dispatch to stay on schedule and report delays
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
- Travel to job sites within the service area and communicate any updates to customers as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including the proper use of PPE
- Complete accurate timecards, service activities, and inspection reports
- Provide excellent quality of work
- Other duties, as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Enrollment in Trade School, or equivalent experience and training (preferred)
- Tech registration with TDLR & EPA Universal or within 6 months of hire date
- Self-sufficient, while maintaining team structure
- Provide basic hand tools, i.e. gauges, meter, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and a smartphone
- Punctual with a commitment to excellent customer service
- Commitment to ongoing training and personal development
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as needed
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of registered driving history
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to lift and maneuver large, heavy equipment, parts, and tools, weighing in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work on ladders, lifts, and from high elevations
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in extremely hot and cold climates
