About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and driven HVAC Equipment Product Manager to lead product strategy, vendor relationships, pricing, inventory planning, and sales growth initiatives throughout the Greenville, South Carolina market. The ideal candidate combines strong HVAC product knowledge with a proven track record of equipment sales and market development within the Upstate South Carolina region.
This role serves as the key link between manufacturers, sales teams, branch operations, and customers to ensure profitable growth and exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the HVAC equipment product portfolio, including residential and light commercial systems.
- Develop and execute product strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Support outside and inside sales teams with product training, technical expertise, and sales presentations.
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs throughout the Greenville and Upstate SC market.
- Maintain strong relationships with HVAC contractors, engineers, builders, and manufacturer partners.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and product availability.
- Establish pricing strategies and promotional programs to drive revenue growth.
- Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and annual business planning.
- Conduct product launches, customer seminars, and sales meetings.
- Travel within the territory to support customers and sales personnel.
Qualifications- 5+ years of HVAC industry experience, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or equipment sales.
- Demonstrated success selling HVAC equipment in the Greenville, SC market and surrounding areas.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems, controls, and accessories.
- Experience managing vendor/manufacturer relationships.
- Proven ability to analyze sales data and develop growth strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent HVAC industry experience will be considered.
Preferred Experience- Existing relationships with HVAC contractors and industry professionals in Upstate South Carolina.
- Experience with major HVAC equipment brands.
- Knowledge of inventory management, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
- Technical HVAC certifications are a plus.
