Role Description The HVAC Controls Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Angelo area. This role is responsible for installing, wiring, and configuring HVAC control systems and components in commercial and institutional facilities, following engineered drawings and company standards. Daily tasks include pulling and terminating low-voltage control wiring, mounting sensors and field devices, assisting with panel installations, and labeling and documenting all work performed. The installer will support start-up and commissioning activities, including functional testing, basic programming support, and system calibration under the direction of project engineers or senior technicians. Additional responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance on installed systems, troubleshooting control issues in the field, coordinating with general contractors and other trades, and maintaining a safe, organized job site.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC control and low-voltage system issues.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of HVAC controls including basic electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with building automation systems, DDC controls, or similar technologies is highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in the San Angelo area.
- Comfort working on ladders, lifts, and in mechanical rooms, with adherence to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC, controls, or electrical fields is a plus.
