Position Overview
The Chief Mechanical Estimator will oversee all estimating and preconstruction operations for the Florida business unit while playing a critical role in business development, client engagement, and strategic market expansion. This executive will lead a high-performing estimating staff, develop strong relationships with contractors and owners, and expand fabrication and prefabrication services throughout the Florida market.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping estimating operations
- Manage and mentor a team of estimators and preconstruction professionals
- Oversee conceptual estimating, budgeting, GMP development, and competitive bid strategies
- Develop and strengthen relationships with owners, developers, engineers, and general contractors throughout Florida
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in strategic market sectors
- Expand fabrication and prefabrication partnerships with external contractors
- Collaborate closely with operations leadership to ensure successful project turnover and execution
- Drive innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the preconstruction department
- Support long-term growth initiatives and strategic planning efforts
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of mechanical estimating experience
- Extensive experience estimating HVAC, Plumbing, and Piping systems
- Proven leadership experience managing estimating or preconstruction teams
- Strong understanding of large-scale commercial and industrial construction markets
- Established relationships within the Florida construction industry preferred
- Experience supporting fabrication and prefabrication operations strongly preferred
- Strong business development and client relationship skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities
- Ability to lead high-level pursuits and complex mechanical opportunities
