Mechanical Engineer - Data Centers

Salary: Up to $175,000 base DOE

Our client is a well-established design and build firm looking to expand its mission-critical team. They need a Mechanical Engineer who can take ownership of mechanical system design and delivery for high-reliability facilities from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering calculations for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across all project phases
- Independently handle load calculations, equipment selection, control sequences, and code compliance
- Develop technical documentation including specifications, system narratives, and equipment schedules
- Create and coordinate mechanical layouts in Revit while working closely with other disciplines
- Manage RFI and submittal reviews, conduct site visits, and support construction observation
- Perform QA/QC checks and begin mentoring junior designers and interns
- Assist with project planning, hour tracking, and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of AEC industry experience
- Proficient in Revit for mechanical modeling and documentation
- Strong understanding of applicable building codes and ASHRAE standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated team player comfortable working independently under tight deadlines
Preferred
- Direct experience with mission-critical facilities
- Exposure to project budgeting and client interaction
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary $95,000 – $175,000
