The Waldinger Corporation has an opportunity for a qualified Estimator in our Springfield Office.
Job Summary:
Conducts high-level estimation and leads bidding process for small to mid-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Estimating: Prepare proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Attend pre-bid meetings and/or tour jobs sites to confirm requisite take-offs. Prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work using computerized estimating software
- Database Management: Maintains database of project history and results. Ensures accuracy and integrity of system software, providing all users with updated information.
- Procedures: Develops conceptual plan and specification bid procedures and standards to improve consistency and efficiency of the estimating process.
- Client Bid Management: Develops successful client relationships, marketing company products and services. Solicits bid schedules from general contractors.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years estimating experience in HVAC, Sheet Metal, and Piping
- Working knowledge of multiple disciplines, estimating techniques and cost control
- Proficiency with computerized estimating software and ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
- Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or Technical Training Program Completion
