About The Role
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting 232 Management’s mission by ensuring our multifamily communities are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property while delivering professional, responsive service to residents.
Maintenance Technicians diagnose issues, perform repairs, complete preventative maintenance, and ensure resident service requests are addressed in a timely and high-quality manner—directly contributing to resident satisfaction and asset performance.

Maintenance Technician Job Family
In this role, you will support one or more multifamily assets and work closely with fellow technicians, vendors, and management to maintain the community at a high standard.
Perform and oversee general maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, utilities, lighting systems, and overall property condition
Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs efficiently and safely
Provide direction to junior technicians and coordinate with outside contractors on assigned projects
Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and equipment
Coordinate maintenance-related vendor and contractor activities
Ensure compliance with all company safety and environmental policies
Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction through responsive, professional, and solution-oriented service
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for experienced maintenance professionals who take pride in their work, value teamwork, and understand the importance of resident service in a multifamily environment.
Qualified candidates will have:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience, or 4 years with EPA 608 Universal Certification
Trade certification, license, or degree in at least one of the following:
HVAC
Plumbing
Electrical
Appliance Repair
Carpentry
Advanced expertise in at least one skilled trade
Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities
Ability to perform quality control on completed work
Experience training and mentoring junior technicians
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Completion of required Maintenance Technician III training within 15 months of hire or promotion
Valid state-issued driver’s license with a safe driving record
A customer-focused mindset and professional demeanor
Physical Demands
Frequent use of hands to operate tools, machinery, and equipment
Regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing ladders, balancing, stooping, and kneeling
Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50–75 lbs
Combination of physical labor and light clerical work throughout the day
Work Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including residential units, common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior property spaces. This role involves regular interaction with residents, vendors, and fellow team members in a fast-paced multifamily property environment.
