Area Sales Manager – HVAC & Power Solutions (Florida)
Location: Miami, Orlando, Tampa, or Jacksonville (Territory-Based)
Overview
We’re partnering with a high-growth provider in the HVAC and power solutions space to identify an Area Sales Manager to lead and scale performance across the Florida market.
This is not a “manage-from-a-desk” role.
This is a field-first leadership position for someone who understands that revenue is built on jobsites, in mechanical rooms, and across contractor relationships—not in spreadsheets.
You’ll take ownership of territory performance by developing people, expanding market coverage, and driving strategic, value-based selling.
The Mandate
- Elevate a team from reactive quoting → proactive, strategic selling
- Expand territory penetration across contractors, GCs, facility managers, and industrial clients
- Build a high-performance sales culture rooted in accountability, activity, and execution
- Strengthen the company’s footprint across Florida through relationships and reputation
What You’ll Be Responsible For
1. Field Leadership (Non-Negotiable)
- Conduct consistent ride-alongs with sales reps across Florida
- Coach in real time: discovery, positioning, objection handling, closing
- Lead by example in front of customers, not behind reports
2. Territory & Market Expansion
- Identify white space and underpenetrated verticals
- Drive new business development strategies across regions
- Align sales efforts with construction cycles and seasonal demand
3. Sales Execution & Coaching
- Lead customer meetings, job walks, and technical discussions
- Support team on estimates, proposals, and solution design
- Run lunch & learns, contractor visits, and on-site engagement
4. Barrier Removal & Enablement
- Identify operational or internal friction slowing down deals
- Partner cross-functionally to improve speed, service, and delivery
- Ensure reps are equipped to win—tools, messaging, and confidence
5. Culture & Accountability
- Set clear expectations on activity, pipeline, and performance
- Develop a team that competes, executes, and supports each other
- Build trust through consistency, fairness, and high standards

Required Experience
- Minimum 7+ years in:
- HVAC rental solutions, or
- Mechanical contractor services, or
- Related construction equipment / MEP sales
- Strong network across Florida contractors, engineers, and end-users
- Demonstrated success in B2B, field-based sales environments
- Experience influencing or leading teams (formal or informal)
