Job Title: Senior Mechanical Estimator (HVAC / Piping / Sheet Metal)
Location: Orlando, Florida | On-site | Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to support Pre-Construction and bidding efforts for commercial HVAC and mechanical projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in mechanical systems, cost analysis, and bid development within a commercial construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC and mechanical systems
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform advanced quantity takeoffs (ductwork, piping, equipment, sheet metal)
• Develop accurate labor, material, and equipment pricing
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor proposals
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities
• Support bid strategy and proposal submissions
• Collaborate with preconstruction and project teams
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of mechanical/HVAC estimating experience
• Strong expertise in commercial HVAC/mechanical building systems
• Experience estimating ductwork, sheet metal, mechanical piping, equipment
• Proficiency with Trimble AutoBid / QuickPen / Bluebeam / Excel
• Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines
Preferred Experience
• Lead / Senior / Chief Estimator background
• Experience with established mechanical contractors
• Exposure to large-scale commercial projects
