MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering (with building systems emphasis), or a closely related field. and 2(two) years of experience In the job offered or in a related occupation involving HVAC mechanical system design, thermal load calculations, duct layout development, and building code compliance for residential buildings. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have skills/expertise with the following: 1. HVAC system design using load calculation and duct layout software; 2. Mechanical design standards and permitting processes for residential buildings; 3. Performing thermal load calculations and developing mechanical plans based on architectural drawings and building specifications; 4. Reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings; and 5. Applying energy efficiency principles and system optimization techniques in HVAC design.
