Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team and play a key role in the design and delivery of mission-critical facilities, including data centers and other high-reliability environments. This role is well suited to a mechanical engineer who enjoys technical leadership, complex system design, and close collaboration across disciplines to deliver resilient, high-performance facilities.
You will lead mechanical design efforts from concept through construction and commissioning, working closely with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated, efficient, and constructable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities, including data centers, such as HVAC, cooling plants, chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, and ventilation systems
- Perform and oversee heating and cooling load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing to support high-density, high-availability environments
- Develop, review, and approve mechanical design documentation, including layouts, schematics, specifications, and construction drawings
- Coordinate closely with electrical, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines to ensure fully integrated, code-compliant designs
- Serve as the mechanical discipline lead on assigned projects, supporting project quality, schedule, and budget objectives
- Interface with clients, contractors, and equipment vendors to support design decisions and resolve technical challenges
- Support construction-phase activities including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and commissioning support
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within mission-critical, data center, or complex commercial/industrial facilities
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- Strong experience designing HVAC and cooling systems for high-reliability facilities
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience serving as a discipline lead or project lead is strongly preferred
