As the Senior Manager of Facilities, you will be responsible for leading facilities operations and safety to ensure a reliable, compliant, and high-performing environment supporting R&D, production, service, and customer demonstration laboratories.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Facilities Operations Leadership: Oversee day-to-day facilities operations across laboratory, production, service, and demo spaces.
- Preventive Maintenance & Reliability: Own maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and security systems.
- Budget & Vendor Ownership: Manage facilities budgets and oversee external vendors and contractors.
- Safety & Compliance Leadership: Lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Critical Infrastructure Support: Maintain cold storage environments (-80°C, -20°C, and 2–8°C) and emergency backup systems.
- Facility Inspections & Documentation: Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate records.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Service, Quality, IT, EHS, and HR teams.
- Site Readiness & Growth: Support lab modifications, equipment installations, and site improvements.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK
- Location: San Jose, CA (on-site laboratory and office facilities)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Travel: Minimal (<10%)
WHAT YOU WILL BRING US (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)
- Facilities Management Experience: 5+ years supporting laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated technical environments.
- Building Systems Ownership: Hands-on responsibility for HVAC, electrical, and fire/life safety systems.
- Critical Asset Support: Experience supporting cold storage environments (-80°C, -20°C, or 2–8°C) or equivalent mission-critical systems.
- Budget & Vendor Ownership: Direct ownership of facilities budgets and vendor management.
- Safety & Compliance Involvement: Active participation in workplace safety programs, inspections, or audits.
- On-Site Availability: Ability to work on-site full time, Monday–Friday.

WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE
- Bachelor’s degree required in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 (to be determined based on level and experience).
This position is eligible for an annual bonus plan.
