About the Role
We’re hiring a hands-on General Manager to lead a small manufacturing business that produces products for the home services industry (HVAC, plumbing, and related trades). This role owns execution end-to-end—production, people, and performance. You’ll run daily operations, set standards, and scale output while maintaining quality and delivery reliability. This is a working-leader role in a lean environment, not a corporate GM seat. Military leadership experience is required. Manufacturing experience is preferred. Familiarity with the home services ecosystem is a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Own daily manufacturing operations, production output, and quality control
- Lead and develop a small team with clear roles, expectations, and accountability
- Drive revenue and margin through disciplined production planning and cost control
- Improve throughput, lead times, and on-time delivery to home services customers
- Implement and track KPIs tied to output, quality, scrap, and fulfillment
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across people, process, and equipment
- Maintain a culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement
- Partner with ownership on growth initiatives, capacity planning, and scaling
Qualifications
- Military leadership background required (officer or senior enlisted preferred)
- Experience leading teams in manufacturing, production, or industrial operations
- Strong understanding of operational fundamentals and process discipline
- Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on environment
- Familiarity with products, customers, or workflows in the home services space is a plus
- Proven track record of execution, accountability, and results
Pay range and compensation package
- $130,000 base salary
- Performance-based incentives to $200,000 OTE
