We’re seeking a hands-on Sales Engineering Manager to lead a regional applied products team within a well-established manufacturing organization. This role requires a technically strong leader who excels at process improvement, mentoring technical teams, and supporting business development through engineering expertise. Must come from HVAC background.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a collaborative team of engineers, inside sales, and technical service professionals
- Conduct regular project meetings with engineering and sales to review progress, challenges, and upcoming deliverables
- Develop and enhance key operational processes including submittals, quotations, quote/no-quote justifications, warranties, project tracking, and project issue resolution
- Troubleshoot and analyze underperforming projects to determine root causes in design, installation, or application, partnering with leadership for corrective action
- Oversee technical staff training and certifications to ensure readiness and compliance
- Provide engineering and technical guidance to both internal teams and external partners
- Drive continuous improvement across project execution, customer support, and internal systems
- Collaborate closely with sales and leadership to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
- Travel periodically for site visits, trade shows, and manufacturer meetings (approximately once per month)
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of HVAC or mechanical systems experience, with proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle — from design and bidding to installation and post-installation performance
- Strong foundation as a project or application engineer; leadership skills can be developed for the right technically driven candidate
- Calm, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to lead under pressure and maintain focus on business goals
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and hold teams accountable
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak project cycles (typically 45–50 hours per week, scaling back to 40–45 hours as fully ramped)
