Job Title: HVAC Estimator
Location: Mineola, NY
Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 + Benefits
We are a well-established mechanical contracting firm based in Mineola, NY, specializing in HVAC systems for high-rise residential and commercial projects across the five boroughs. As our company continues to grow, we’re looking to add a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to our in-house team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with our preconstruction and project management teams to analyze project documentation, prepare precise cost estimates, and ensure our bids remain both competitive and comprehensive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates.
- Perform material take-offs and cost analyses for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to obtain pricing and explore value engineering opportunities.
- Assist with bid preparation and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Maintain and update project budgets and cost reports.
Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of estimating experience in the mechanical or HVAC industry.
- Experience with high-rise residential and commercial projects within the five boroughs.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
