Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager reports to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive continuous improvement and maximize productivity and efficiency to reduce overall costs. As the Warehouse Manager this position must be knowledgeable in all facets of distribution operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- This position will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers (HVAC contractors, Dealers, internal associates, etc.)
- Directs achievement of performance objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee morale.
- Supervises the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition, and storage of materials, supplies and equipment into and from warehouse.
- Lead operational efforts aimed at maintaining accurate inventory throughout the supply channel.
- Monitors workflow, work completed, error rates and related metrics and takes corrective action.
- Ensures procedures are established, implemented, and adhered to by all team members.
- Collaborates to improve the overall product supply operation, performance, and to maximize overall operational efficiencies.
- Ensures quality and inspection process is accurate and excess costs are eliminated.
- Maintain discipline in use of forklifts (maintenance, speed control etc.) along with safety of all equipment.
- Ensure all storage equipment is maintained and inspected according to company and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure a continuous stream of talent to sustain organizational/department growth and improve operations by attracting, retaining, and developing team members to meet their needs for career growth.
Qualifications
- A successful candidate will be proficient in basic PC skills and Microsoft products.
- Able to operate RF Scanning equipment as well as function in a Bin pick environment.
- Strong creative problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent judgment and initiative and ability to work as hands-on supervisor.
Must work well under pressure as a team player with the ability to multitask.
