About the Role
We are conducting a confidential search for a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives in the Nashville, TN market, with a core focus on HVAC service sales, particularly Preventative Maintenance (PM) agreements. This is a critical, hunter-style role for an ambitious, self-motivated sales professional eager to tap into existing verticals like assisted living facilities, with the potential to expand into supermarket refrigeration and industrial HVAC applications. You will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing key client relationships, generating sustainable revenue, and driving market penetration in a high-opportunity region.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for HVAC PM agreements across commercial sectors, with an initial focus on assisted living facilities.
- Strategically grow territory presence, expanding into supermarket refrigeration and industrial sectors.
- Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation through closing — with a proactive, hunter-oriented approach.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and forecasting metrics using Salesforce CRM.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, service teams, and leadership) to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Meet and exceed annual sales goals of $300K–$400K.
- Operate within a hybrid work model, balancing in-field prospecting with remote administrative and CRM tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales within HVAC or commercial mechanical services.
- Specific experience selling Preventative Maintenance (PM) agreements is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to sell into assisted living homes or similar regulated environments.
- Understanding or familiarity with supermarket refrigeration systems or industrial HVAC solutions is a strong plus.
- Hunter mindset — must be proactive, persistent, and performance-driven.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and closing skills.
- Comfortable working independently and being held accountable to activity and sales metrics.
Pay range and compensation package
