Summary
The HVAC Division Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the HVAC department, including service, installation, sales, budgeting, staffing, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and applicable codes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the HVAC division.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
- Oversee residential and/or commercial HVAC installation and service operations.
- Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate technicians, supervisors, and office staff.
- Monitor department budgets, financial performance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, and company safety policies.
- Schedule and allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure exceptional service quality.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop estimates, proposals, and growth opportunities.
- Review project progress, profitability, and completion schedules.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Identify process improvements to increase productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Support strategic planning and long-term business growth initiatives.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of progressive HVAC industry experience.
- 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, service procedures, and applicable codes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
