Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our growing commercial mechanical team. Compensation and Benefits

What You'll Do
As a Commercial HVAC Estimator, you'll prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects by reviewing construction drawings, project specifications, and bid documents. You'll perform detailed material and labor takeoffs, develop project budgets, solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing, prepare customer proposals, and ensure estimates accurately reflect project scope and company objectives.
You'll work closely with project managers, vendors, suppliers, and company leadership throughout the estimating process while supporting awarded projects through submittals, requests for information (RFIs), procurement coordination, job cost tracking, and project documentation. This position is primarily office-based but includes occasional visits to project sites for pre-bid meetings, field verification, and coordination with customers and project teams.
Your work will directly contribute to the successful planning, execution, and profitability of commercial HVAC and mechanical projects throughout the region.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking estimating professionals with at least five years of commercial HVAC or mechanical estimating experience. Candidates should have a strong understanding of commercial mechanical systems, construction practices, labor productivity, material costs, and competitive bidding strategies.
Experience reading construction drawings, interpreting specifications, performing digital takeoffs, and preparing detailed project estimates is essential. Familiarity with estimating software such as FastEST, QuoteSoft, Trimble, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
Successful candidates are organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple bids while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with vendors, subcontractors, project managers, and customers are critical.
Applicants should also be proficient with Microsoft Office and possess a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting projects through preconstruction, procurement, subcontractor buyout, scheduling, project coordination, or job cost tracking is highly valued. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with significant industry experience.
