Position Summary
A respected and growing construction organization is seeking a Senior HVAC Estimator to join its preconstruction team. This individual will play a critical role in evaluating opportunities, developing accurate and competitive estimates, and helping secure complex commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed conceptual, budgetary, negotiated, and hard-bid estimates for HVAC and mechanical construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to develop complete scopes of work and accurate cost projections.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for HVAC, piping, plumbing, sheet metal, and related systems.
- Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
- Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Identify project risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Participate in bid strategy meetings and proposal development efforts.
- Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless project handoff following award.
- Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, labor trends, and industry best practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of estimating experience within the HVAC, mechanical, or specialty construction industry.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sheet metal, piping, plumbing, and mechanical construction methods.
- Experience estimating commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, data center, life sciences, or other complex construction projects.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, though equivalent industry experience will be considered.
