About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Administrator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and long-term care of our facilities, including the Wilder Center and Lafond Campus. This role is responsible for ensuring buildings are safe, efficient, and well-maintained while supporting a positive experience for staff, clients, and visitors. The position combines technical expertise with leadership, requiring someone who can manage daily maintenance activities, respond to facility needs, and plan for future improvements.
The Maintenance Administrator leads building operations by troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role also manages preventive maintenance programs, maintains work order systems, and participates in emergency on-call rotation. In addition to day-to-day operations, the position oversees budgets, reviews invoices, and contributes to long-term planning for sustainable building use and energy efficiency. The role includes supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and supporting facility improvement projects.
Job Qualifications
This role requires a combination of education and experience, including a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with at least five years of hands-on commercial maintenance work and prior supervisory experience. A 2nd Class Engineer’s License is required. Candidates should have strong technical knowledge of building systems, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience working in a team-oriented environment. Additional preferred qualifications include technical training, sustainability credentials such as LEED accreditation, or project management certification.
