HVAC Test Engineer – Indianapolis, IN / Syracuse, NY

Job Description:
• Work with lab personnel and suppliers to ensure successful completion of test plans and ECS unit builds
• Procure parts and equipment required for unit builds
• Submit and prioritize work orders for unit build/modification at Carrier model shop
• Create and execute HVAC test plans
• Coordinate with digital, software, hardware, and other teams for field testing
• Perform psychometric room testing to validate installations
• Coordinate with Carrier distributors/dealers across the U.S. for equipment installation
• Manage NDA rollout and provide installation training
• Obtain permits for field installations across various states
• Present field trial readiness plans to stakeholders
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and provide RCA/corrective actions
• Prepare progress reports, risk analysis, and weekly data findings
Required Skills:
• HVAC testing experience
• Lab testing environment experience
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, UL, and DOE testing standards
• Experience testing HVAC residential products preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Education/Experience:
• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of experience
