Marathon Plumbing, Heating & Air, a well-established, highly profitable home services company specializing in HVAC and plumbing, is looking for a General Manager to lead operations across multiple locations in Southern California.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity offering full P&L ownership of a ~$32M business, with oversight of approximately 130 employees. About the role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Anaheim, CA, with travel to other branches in the Northern Orange County area. In this role, you will serve as the operational and strategic leader for the business — owning performance, setting direction, and driving execution across multiple locations.
You will lead day-to-day operations while also shaping the future of the organization by implementing strategic initiatives, optimizing processes, and building high-performing teams. This role requires a balance of hands-on leadership and big-picture thinking, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences, achieving financial targets, and strengthening company culture. You will partner closely with key stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities and ensure the business continues to scale successfully.
What we're looking for
- 5–10 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or a combination
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the General Manager role
- Proven multi-site or regional operations leadership
- Strong P&L management experience with demonstrated financial acumen
- Hands-on experience with ServiceTitan
- Track record of scaling technician teams and navigating workforce challenges
- A collaborative, change-oriented leadership style — someone who leads by influence, not just authority
- Trade license is a plus, but not required
What you'll be responsible for
- Full P&L ownership across three locations in Southern California
- Leading and developing 4–6 direct reports and a broader team of ~130 employees
- Driving operational consistency, process improvement, and cross-location collaboration
- Scaling technician teams and managing high-turnover workforce dynamics
- Championing adoption of technology and systems improvements (including ServiceTitan)
- Serving as a cultural bridge — fostering openness to change while preserving team cohesion
- Travel between multiple Southern California locations throughout the week as needed
