Title: Refrigeration/HVAC Technician

General Function:

The Primary function of this job is to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment and rack systems at our grocery stores.

Reports to:

Reports to: Director of Facilities and Maintenance

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment.

· Complete service calls in a timely manner in assigned stores

· Communicate effectively with other employees, managers, and supervisors.

· Respond to emergency calls Monday-Friday and possibly weekends as needed

· Maintain service vehicle.

· Order parts and complete required paperwork.

· Attend Training Sessions.

· Promptly answering calls of service.

· Works well with others.

· Follows company policies and store procedures.

· Follows company grooming and dress code standards.

· Reports to work on time and ready to work.

Experience and Education:

Required: EPA Certification

Required: Must have a valid driver's license from the state in which applicant is applying

Preferred: 2 years of experience in HVAC/ Refrigeration field with some rack system experience

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and or 10-20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products. Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations. Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use. Must be able to use hand tools and power tools associated with the job required.

· This is medium work requires good, corrected vision, hearing, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, pushing, pulling and the ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery.

· This work requires climbing ladders and working on roof tops.

· Physical stamina and dexterity

Work Environment:

This position works indoors, outdoors, in coolers, on roofs, and other areas as needed.
