The Opportunity
- Cenergistic is seeking a degreed Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC systems, building automation, and energy performance initiatives.
- This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer eager to learn, contribute, and grow under experienced mentorship.
What You’ll Do
- Support development and implementation of energy conservation standards and best practices
- Assist with HVAC, mechanical, and BAS system optimization efforts
- Review control strategies and sequences of operation under guidance
- Analyze HVAC and BAS data to identify performance opportunities
- Support commissioning and measurement & verification activities
- Collaborate with engineering teams and client stakeholders
- Assist with technical reports and performance analysis
- Participate in training and mentorship programs
- Ensure compliance with codes and standards
- Travel: 5–8%
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 0–2 years of experience or relevant internships
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and thermodynamics
- Familiarity with building automation systems is a plus
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow under mentorship
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT certification or progress toward FE exam
- Internship experience in HVAC or building systems
- Interest in energy conservation and sustainability
