About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager with a strong engineering background to lead all mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance operations for our growing manufacturing facility.
In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring safe operations, and optimizing long-term asset reliability. You won't just be fixing machines; you will be building a structured preventive maintenance program from the ground up, supporting long-term expansion and automation initiatives, and developing a skilled technical team capable of supporting 24/7 production demands. What You'll Do
Engineering & Equipment Reliability
- Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated production machinery and specialized outdoor/agricultural equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Act as the technical lead for equipment installations, commissioning, and system upgrades.
- Maintain meticulous technical documentation and system records.
Preventive Maintenance & Systems Management
- Establish, plan, schedule, and execute a robust preventive maintenance (PM) program based on operational needs and manufacturer specifications.
- Champion the use of our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, equipment status, labor hours, and parts usage.
- Ensure all maintenance records are clean, accurate, and audit-ready.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of maintenance technicians.
- Provide daily task assignments, performance coaching, and implement structured training and certification plans.
- Manage rotating on-call schedules to ensure seamless coverage for 24-hour operations.
Facility, Infrastructure & Budgets
- Manage comprehensive facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, compressed air, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party contractors and specialized service providers.
- Maintain a critical spare parts inventory, manage cost-effective supply chains, and proactively order parts.
- Manage the maintenance budget, control costs, and support capital planning for equipment replacement.
Safety & Compliance
- Strictly enforce OSHA regulations and internal company safety standards.
- Lead critical safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and routine equipment safety checks.
- Conduct safety audits, document inspections, and facilitate ongoing safety training for the team.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (highly preferred), or equivalent extensive industry experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance.
- Leadership: 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience managing technical teams.
Technical Competencies
- Expertise in industrial electrical systems (480V/3-phase, PLC basics).
- Deep knowledge of mechanical systems, including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, and pumps.
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experience utilizing and managing CMMS and maintenance documentation systems.
