Summary
In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering and commercial execution, leading projects from initial RFQ/RFP through equipment selection, proposal development, and delivery.
You’ll serve as a key technical liaison between customers and internal teams, delivering high-performance data center cooling solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth market.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQs/RFPs and analyze customer specifications, heat loads, and system requirements
- Select and configure HVAC equipment including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, DX, and VRF systems
- Develop detailed technical proposals including pricing, Bills of Materials, and scope of work
- Deliver proposals within fast turnaround timelines (typically 2–3 days)
- Serve as the primary point of contact from proposal through project delivery and startup
- Coordinate with internal teams and manufacturing partners to ensure successful execution
- Track project schedules, costs, and risks to meet customer commitments
- Provide technical application support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical presentations
- Support contract review, pricing alignment, and solution optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in applications engineering, project engineering, or technical sales of data center cooling systems or large industrial HVAC applications
- Strong knowledge of chiller systems, CRAC/CRAH units, DX, and/or VRF systems, heat load calculations and equipment selection
- Experience interpreting technical specifications and delivering customer-focused solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a customer-facing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP tools (Salesforce a plus)
