Role Description: Lausanne Collegiate School seeks a highly skilled and mission-aligned to provide comprehensive leadership and oversight of campus facilities, maintenance, safety, security, transportation, and operational systems. This position ensures that Lausanne’s physical environment reflects excellence, supports teaching and learning, and operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
Working collaboratively with school leadership, faculty, and staff, the Manager oversees daily campus operations while providing strategic planning for long-term facilities sustainability. This role is essential in advancing Lausanne’s commitment to providing a secure, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for students, families, faculty, and the broader community.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities, operations, or campus management (educational setting preferred).
· Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
· Knowledge of local and state health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Proven experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.
· Valid driver’s license.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilities Maintenance & Operations· Ensure campus cleanliness, functionality, and operational excellence.
· Respond promptly and effectively to operational issues and emergencies.
· Oversee maintenance and operation of all school buildings, grounds, athletic facilities, and vehicles.
· Manage repair schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and long-term capital planning.
Safety & Security· Oversee campus safety and security operations, procedures, and compliance.
· Maintain emergency response plans and coordinate regular safety drills.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, environmental, and government regulations.
· Coordinate with local emergency services and relevant agencies as needed.
Transportation Management· Manage student transportation services, including school-owned vehicles and third-party providers.
· Oversee routing, scheduling, driver coordination, and vehicle maintenance.
· Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Grounds & Campus Environment· Oversee landscaping, outdoor spaces, and seasonal campus needs.
· Coordinate vendor services for grounds maintenance and improvements.
· Support school events, weather-related planning, and campus logistics.
· Ensure campus presentation reflects Lausanne’s standards and values.
Leadership & Staff Supervision· Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork.
· Delegate responsibilities while maintaining operational oversight.
· Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate custodial and maintenance personnel.
· Develop staff schedules and assign duties effectively.
Budget & Financial Oversight· Develop and manage departmental budgets, including maintenance, housekeeping, security, grounds, and transportation.
· Monitor expenditures and identify cost efficiencies.
· Track inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment.
· Prepare financial reports and forecasts in collaboration with finance leadership.
Vendor & Contract Management· Manage relationships with contractors, service providers, and vendors.
· Negotiate contracts and review service agreements.
· Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Collaboration & Communication· Work closely with school leadership, division heads, faculty, and staff.
· Support operational planning for school events and programs.
· Communicate proactively regarding operational plans and disruptions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS
· Regular on-campus presence during school operational hours and campus events.
· Availability to respond to 24-hour emergencies as needed.
· Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities.
· Physical ability to walk the campus, perform site inspections, and lift up to 50+ pounds.
