The Role
You'll play a key role in fostering, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with wholesalers, contractors, engineers, and other clients in your territory. Your activities will be tailored to the needs of these different groups you call on, with a focus on creating trust through performance and dedication to their needs, whatever those may be. You will have the opportunity to educate and sell customers on the full range of products we represent, to include Lochinvar boilers and water heaters, Taco pumps and controls, tekmar controls, REHAU radiant heating systems, Amtrol tanks and related products, and many others. A significant part of your role will involve back-end support for the products and systems we sell.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, wholesale distributors, contractors, engineers, and end users
- Plan and execute a consistent schedule for customer calls
- Conduct training sessions on all of our products and related technologies
- Keep customers informed of pricing updates, promotions, programs, and other important manufacturer communications
- Develop and execute sales plans for each customer in collaboration with our sales team
- Attend factory-based trainings and goodwill trips with customers
- Provide technical support and onsite advice for new and existing installations
- Participate in meetings at the Shamrock Sales main office as required
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in outside sales related to technical hydronic heating, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing-related products
- Basic understanding of hydronic and snowmelt systems and controls, including boilers and all related components
- Strong customer service orientation with patience and diplomacy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail, responsiveness, and professional presentation
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time salaried position
- Base salary: $70,000-$120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications*
