Summary:
KCC, a leader in climate control technology, is seeking an HVAC Product Engineer to help drive innovation across our legacy and nextgeneration product portfolio. This role combines deep technical expertise in commercial HVAC design with handson problem solving and crossfunctional collaboration with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Purchasing to bring highquality commercial HVAC equipment from concept to production.
Responsibilities
Lead Product Design: Drive the design, analysis, and optimization of commercial HVAC systems and components, ensuring high performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Champion Product Support: Partner with Production, Sales, Applications, and Field Support teams to troubleshoot issues, enhance product operation, and support the full product lifecycle.
Develop Innovative Solutions: Take ownership of highpriority engineering projects, conducting testing, rootcause analysis, and implementing design improvements that elevate product performance.
EngineertoOrder Expertise: Evaluate custom customer requests and create tailored engineering solutions that balance innovation, feasibility, and cost.
Collaborate with Suppliers: Work directly with vendors to engineer new components, explore alternative materials, and enhance design quality and supply continuity.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute enhancements to existing products, processes, and systems that improve performance, reduce cost, and increase longterm reliability.
Ensure Regulatory Excellence: Analyze test data and apply required changes to maintain compliance with all relevant technical, functional, and industry standards.
Create Clear Documentation: Partner with Sales, Production, and Engineering to develop accurate, customerfriendly product documentation and supporting materials.
Deliver Accurate Technical Guidance: Provide precise and timely engineering information to internal teams and external partners, ensuring alignment and clarity.
Invest in Ongoing Learning: Stay current with applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, AHRI, ANSI, etc.) and emerging HVAC technologies to support continuous professional growth.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new engineering software.
- Demonstrates problemsolving ability with a solid understanding of mechanical and HVAC engineering principles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to perform handson testing, troubleshooting, and product evaluation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred
- Advanced coursework or certifications related to mechanical or HVAC engineering.
- Experience with industryspecific engineering software (e.g., CAD tools, modeling/simulation packages).
- Prior experience in product testing, development, or evaluation environments.
- Experience collaborating with crossfunctional engineering or manufacturing teams.
